The solar panel directly powers the energiser when sufficient sunlight is available, runs from the batteries when not.
Operates from two standard D-Cell batteries (included) or from an external 12 volt external battery (not included).
The Solar Shrike comes with a multi-position, 2.5 watt solar panel.
Please note: The solar assist panel does not charge the batteries. Instead, it helps extend battery life by powering the energiser and reducing the load on the internal batteries. The solar panel is designed for use only with internal D-cell batteries and cannot be used with an external 12v battery.
